The gameplay of Naruto Shippuden - Ultimate Ninja Impact is similar to that of the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series, as it allows players to fight opponents in one-on-one matches using characters from the Naruto anime and manga. However, the game also introduces new features such as "jutsu clashes" which allow players to interrupt each others' techniques and " Awakening Mode ", which changes a character's outfit and gives them new abilities.
