Nintendo 64 Roms is a Nintendo console from the past. The main feature of this console was the ability to play games by cartridges called Nintendo 64 Roms. In other words, Nintendo 64 Roms are all the games that you can find in cartridge form for the nintendo64 machine.
There were a lot of good and bad games back then when it comes to N64 consoles, so I've decided to list a few of my favorite ones:
There are several N64 consoles out there but don't worry... There are also several Nintendo 64 Emulators too! Allowing you to enjoy your favorite Nintendo 64 Roms wherever you want with whatever device suits your needs best... Just make sure it's powerful enough to emulate Nintendo N64 games without any problem!
Even though there are tons of different platforms out there, all the Nintendo 64 emulators can be used on Android, Windows and Mac. Some even work on Linux too so you might want to check what works best with your device before settling for one platform in particular.
Of course I'm talking about Mupen64Plus AE which brings back the good old memories! As far as gaming consoles go, this one might not be my favorite but if you still play old-school games like me, then this is probably one of the best Nintendo 64 emulators out there as of right now as it brings back the Nintendo 64 experience as closely as possible.
Well, there's Mupen64Plus FZ which has been developed specifically for Android devices but the problem is that its compatibility rate isn't very high yet so you might have a few hang-ups every now and then if you're using a device other than an HTC or a Motorola one. With that being said though, this Nintendo 64 emulator should work just fine on those two devices so give it a try! And who knows... Maybe your phone will even be compatible with Mupen64Plus FZ without any problems! If not... Then you can always find another Nintendo 64 emulator for android from my list here .
Unfortunately I couldn't find any Nintendo 64 emulator available for the Mac but if you don't feel like using Windows or Android, then worry not! Just go with an N64 emulator PC program like Mupen64Plus AE that runs on desktop platforms (PC & Mac) and you can play your favorite Nintendo 64 games anywhere you want even on a macbook... Although it is worth noting that this emulator was created by iOS developers so there might be some weird bugs here and there. You'll just have to see once you try it out!
So far there's no Nintendo 64 emulator available for the Linux platform but if you prefer using it over Windows or Android, then fret not! You can always take a look at Mupen64Plus AE which might work just fine on your Linux machine... Just don't expect to get full compatibility in case you're using an ARM-based device. Compatibility is usually very bad with these types of machines (yes, that includes iPhone and iPad users too).
Nintendo 64 was a great console with lots of innovative games that helped create the 3D gaming we all love today. This is where it all started and if you want to go back in time, then you should definitely get a Nintendo 64 emulator! Currently Mupen64Plus AE is my favorite Nintendo 64 emulator for both Windows & Android but only because I'm stuck with these two platforms unfortunately... If I had to choose another one, then it would have been DeSmuME without even thinking twice.
