Many gamers who grew up in the 1990s and early 2000s likely had a Game Boy or Game Boy Advance at some point. However, if you wanted to play games with higher-resolution graphics and richer sound than one of Nintendo's portables could provide, you needed to go with Sega's Game Gear. Well, "needed" is a little strong, but the Game Gear had some great games if you could find them.
NOTE: This is a list of the best Game Gear Roms games, not a complete list by any means.
NOTE: Game Gear emulators do not support Game Gear BIOS, so you'll need to get that separately and place it in the same directory as your Roms. NOTE: Additionally, if you want sound while running Game Gear Roms on your PC, you'll need to configure the emulator with a Windows PC Game Gear BIOS file.
If you find that Roms won't run on your emulator for any reason, try resetting your emulator's settings. You can do this by going into "Options -> Reset All Emulator Options." NOTE: This is not guaranteed to work as it depends on what is causing the problem, but it is worth a try.
